So what do I mean by Garage Philosophy?
The name "Garage Philosophy" is due to having my office in my garage.
My name is Marianne Vahl, and I am a Philosopher and Vocal Coach.
To me the concept of Garage Philosophy associates to understanding Philosophy as an attitude embracing the unknown, to have the guts to ask questions about what may seem obvious, to challenge habits and presuppositions, to question what we believe to be true.
In my garage I have both my "music studio", my philosophy books and it is where I do most of my online-training's.
So if you book time with me for online philosophical counseling or for some online voice lessons - this is where it will happen :-)
I use the platform Easy Practice for my bookings, and charge 90 Euro for 50 minutes of philosophical counseling.
"Garage Philosophy" is also the name of my Instagram account @garasjefilosofen, where I explore photography and philosophy.
I aim at capturing beauty or meaning in the ordinary, in details, in what may be considered ugly as well as trying to do justice to the more obviously beautiful motives.
Very similar to a philosophical conversation, where meaning can be found in the most unexpected places. It is all about keeping an open and exploring mind and eye.
